Drawn cup needle roller bearings are ideal for compact and economical designs where hardening and grinding the housing bore is impractical, or when housing materials have low rigidity such as cast iron, aluminum, or plastics. These bearings provide maximum load-carrying capability within the smallest envelope by utilizing the mating shaft and housing as inner and outer raceways.
