Product Description
Product Introduction

VIP4-2B-10 is a single-phase PCB double-row pin EMI power filter manufactured by VIIP. It supports rated voltage of 115/250VAC and rated current up to 10A RMS, working at 50/60Hz. It delivers excellent common-mode insertion loss under the 50Ω system to suppress high-frequency power line noise. It features low leakage current, high insulation resistance and reliable hipot performance. The operating temperature covers -25℃ ~ +100℃. With through-hole double-row pin design, it can be directly soldered on PCB boards, offering convenient assembly and stable electrical connection for precision electronic equipment.

Application Scope

Suitable for industrial control, automation equipment, medical instruments, communication devices and consumer electronics. It applies to electronic products that require low leakage current and strict EMC performance, especially devices with built-in PCB circuit boards sensitive to power electromagnetic interference.

Product Usage & Function

This EMI power filter suppresses common-mode and differential-mode high-frequency electromagnetic interference on AC power lines. It cleans power noise, stabilizes power supply, prevents equipment malfunctions caused by power disturbance, and helps end products pass EMC electromagnetic compatibility tests.

General FAQ for EMI Filters

Q1: What does RMS current rating mean for an EMI filter? A1: RMS current refers to the maximum continuous working current the filter can bear steadily. VIP4-2B-10 can continuously carry 10A RMS current without performance degradation.

Q2: What is leakage current of power filter? A2: Leakage current is the tiny current flowing from power lines to protective ground. Lower leakage current is critical for medical and safety-sensitive electronic devices.

Q3: What is insertion loss? A3: Insertion loss (in dB) indicates the filter’s noise attenuation capability. Higher dB value means stronger effect to reduce electromagnetic interference on power cables.

Q4: What is hipot test? Why is it important? A4: Hipot is high-potential withstand voltage test, used to verify insulation strength. Our filter passes 1-minute hipot test to avoid electric leakage risk and meet safety specifications.

Q5: What factors will weaken filtering performance? A5: Poor grounding, long input/output cables mixed together and excessive soldering heat will reduce noise suppression effect. Keep filter near power inlet and separate input & output wires.
