Product Introduction
In the presence of alkaline medium and sodium nitrite ferrocyanide (sodium nitroprusside), ammonium reacts with salicylate and hypochlorite ions to form a water-soluble blue compound with maximum absorption at 697 nm, and the amount of ammonia nitrogen in the water sample is measured by photoelectric colorimetry according to the Lambert-Bier law. A specific masking agent was added to remove the interference of cations (especially calcium and magnesium ions).
