CCS, BV, ABS, DNV-GL, EC, MED approved SOLAS 6 persons rigid rescue boat is made of FRP(Fiber Glass Reinforced Plastic) material and in accordance with SOLAS regulations. It can be installed with inboard diesel engine and outboard petrol motor for different application and requirements. The can sail at least 4 hours with the min. speed 6 knots. Lifeboats can have the same function to replace it. If there is lifeboat with rescue boat function, then the rescue boat is not mandatory to install. The 4 lifting point can increase the stability of the rescue boat when lowering and lifting.
Rescue boats are widely used on cruise ship which is mandatory according to the SOLAS regulations to increase the escape opportunity when there is emergency occurred. The min. length is 4.0m. It can load 5 persons and one person on stretcher, at the same time it can be used to pull the full load life rafts. It is in bright international orange for easy finding. It is usually stored on the deck of the vessel for any emergency situation. It is unsinkable with buoyancy material inside the hull.
The rescue boat is a motorized small boat with good maneuverability which is used to rescue distressed persons. It can help to rescue persons in distress and gather marine survival craft more quickly and safely. There are rigid rescue boat, inflatable rescue boat and inflatable fender rigid rescue boat available. All the rescue boats are meeting the SOLAS 1974 as amended and can load 6-15 persons usually with length not exceed 8.5m. Self righting and non-sinking is the mandatory function for it.
Solas FRP rescue boat is mandatory for the sea-going vessels. It is widely used on the ships for the emergency life rescue. The Min. size is 4.0m with min. capacity 6 persons including the crew and the max. Size is 8.5m in accordance with SOLAS regulations. All the IACS members issue the certificate of it according to the latest amendment of 1974 SOLAS LSA codes. It can be lifted by single arm slewing davit or “A” type davit with 18m/min lowering speed at least.
