Fiber lasers are modular lasers with thermal redundancy technology
IPG YLS lasers are modular lasers that utilize the output of multiple fiber laser modules, each capable of producing hundreds of watts of output power, integrated into a single output fiber. In the event of a module failure, the remaining modules will automatically compensate for the loss, maintaining output power and allowing production to continue. Then, failure messages that require repair service will be communicated to designated users by means of alerts. With the redundancy of multiple modules within the system and the redundancy of the pump diodes within each individual module, the laser can operate without interruption. With thermal redundancy of several pump diodes, the laser can be operated at lower currents, thereby increasing pump diode lifetime and overall laser lifetime.
