304 Stainless Steel Pipe Description
304 stainless steel (also known as 18/8 stainless steel) is a common and versatile stainless steel material containing 18% chromium and 8% nickel content,has better anti-rust properties than 200 series stainless steel materials.It also has high temperature resistance and can reach temperatures as high as 1000-1200 degrees.304 stainless steel has excellent stainless corrosion resistance and good intergranular corrosion resistance.
Based on experimental findings,for oxidizing acids,that 304 stainless steel has strong corrosion resistance in nitric acid below the boiling temperature with a concentration of ≤65%.

Grade 304 is the most used standard grade has good corrosion resistance and good machinability.
316 Grade has much better corrosion resistance and is the grade recommended for marine environments or coastal applications,also known as "marine grade"
