304 SS Pipe Description
Grade 304 is a 300 series austenitic stainless steel alloy which contains 18% chromium and 8% nickel,is the standard “18/8 stainless steel”,has good corrosion resistance,excellent welding and forming properties.
304L is the low-carbon version of 304 stainless steel,the carbon content is usually less than 0.03%.The lower carbon content which minimizes chromium carbide precipitation due to welding and its susceptibility to intergranular corrosion.304L stainless steel has better resistance to intergranular corrosion in the welded state and is suitable for applications that do not require post-weld annealing.
