309 Stainless Steel Description
309/309s stainless steel is a type of chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steel,with high chromium and nickel content, Alloy 309 and 309S are highly corrosion resistant, have outstanding resistance to oxidation, and excellent heat resistance,often used for higher temperature applications.
309S Stainless steel is a lower carbon version of type 309. Type 309S has a low carbon content, which minimizes carbide precipitation, reduces the risk of sensitization and improves weldability and corrosion resistance.
