Stainless Steel Tube Description

Austenitic stainless steels, such as grades 304 and 316, are the most commonly used types. They are known for their excellent corrosion resistance and high-temperature strength.
- 304 contains 18% chromium and 8% nickel. 316 has slightly less chromium (around 16%), a higher nickel content (around 10%), and includes 2-3% molybdenum.
- 316 offers vastly superior corrosion resistance to chlorides and acids due to the addition of molybdenum. It excels in marine, coastal, and chemical processing environments. 304 is suitable for environments where resistance to water, moisture, or weak acids is needed.
