JIS S45C carbon steel mold plates are medium tensile, low hardenability steel plates specifically engineered for die casting mold bases and industrial applications requiring reliable strength and machinability.
AISI 1045 equivalent with tensile strength range of 600-950 MPa and Brinell hardness range of 179-280. Characterized by excellent strength, impact resistance, and good machinability with reasonable weldability in as-supplied condition.
