410 Stainless Steel Sheet Mechanical Properties
Description
410 SS belongs to martensitic SS grade. 410 SS Sheet is designed with a chemical concentration of 11.5-13.5% of chromium and 0.75% of nickel content. The superior concentration gives the SS 410 Sheet enhanced corrosion resistance and oxidation tolerances up to 1292 degrees F. They can be employed in continuous service temperatures up to 1500 degrees F. The quality of the Stainless 410 Sheet can be improved with processes such as hardening, tempering, and quenching operations.
These processes improve the hardness of the 410 Stainless Sheet, giving them excellent heat resistance coupled with high strength and mild corrosion resistance. The Stainless Steel 410 Sheet has excellent tensile and yield strengths with good elongation properties. These properties gradually increase as the Stainless Steel 410 Plate is tempered further. The modules can be easily welded following general welding techniques. The SS 410 Plate material is preferentially pre-heated at temperatures between 150 to 260 degrees C, followed by annealing to navigate past cracking. The 410 Stainless Plate is seen in use in cutlery, bolts, screws, petroleum fractioning structures, etc.
