SmCo magnets have a wider operating temperature range, superior temperature coefficients and greater corrosion resistance. Special high temperature neodymium magnet superior to 150℃. SmCo magnets not only perform well at high temperatures but also remain magnetic even at temperatures below absolute zero (-273 ° C), making them very popular for low temperature applications. Since most grades of samarium cobalt contain almost no iron, they have excellent corrosion resistance.
Properties of samarium cobalt permanent magnets
1. Samarium cobalt permanent magnet has high magnetic energy product and high coercivity. Its magnetic property is better than Alnickel-cobalt permanent magnet and ferrite permanent magnet.
2. Sm cobalt permanent magnet Curie has high temperature and small temperature coefficient, which can be used at 300℃.
3. Samarium cobalt has high permanent magnet hardness, high brittleness, low bending strength, tensile strength and compressive strength, and is not suitable for use as structural components.
4. The main component of samarium cobalt permanent magnet is cobalt metal (CO ≥99.95%), so it is expensive.
Because of the properties of samarium cobalt permanent magnet, we hardly see any samarium cobalt permanent magnet in everyday products.
If an aesthetically pleasing or corrosion-resistant coating is desired, nickel, zinc, gold, or epoxy or other coating may be used.
