For high quality metal strip cold rolling, high precision 18High (18 rollers) cold rolling mill require very high precision manufacture and more investment with advantages:
- More thickness reduction than normal rolling mill in each rolling process. For example, a 18 high rolling mill can reduce HR stainless steel strip from 2.0mm down to 0.3mm with no need of interim annealing.
- Can give better quality of CR metal plates, better flatness.
- Less power consumption for the same production.
- In some applications, only multiple high rolling mill can achieve the required performance.
