Introduction to Mealworms

Mealworms is the larva of Mealworms beetle, which is a kind of black beetle. Like all fully metabolized insects, they go through four life stages: egg, larva, pupa and adult. Larvae are usually about 2.5 cm long or larger, while adults are usually between 1.25 and 1.8 cm long.

It takes about 65-68 days for mealworms to hatch from eggs to larvae. Because the breeding time is very short, we can easily adjust the production of mealworms. The processing method is to use large microwave drying equipment for microwave drying. This can ensure that the mealworm protein is fully retained.

Feed For Mealworm:

Wheat bran, seasonal vegetables and fruit only

The northern plains of China are rich in wheat and various vegetables, so the price of mealworm feed is very low, and it is destined very suitable for the large-scale breeding of mealworms.

Are Dried Mealworms Safe To Use As Pet Food?

Any pesticide residues and toxic substances can kill the mealworms during its growth, so never use vegetables and feed containing any pesticides during the breeding process. Most of the dried mealworms are used in the production of insect protein powder and are also exported to the world. Packing And Transportation

Pack dried mealworms in a moisture-proof plastic bag every 5 kg or 10 kg (5 kg is recommended) and then pack them in a rigid carton outside. About 460 cartons (5kg, 4-5 mt)/ 20ft container. We can also pack according to customer's requirement.

Storage Conditions And Shelf Life

Please ventilated dry storage, shelf life is 12 months.
