Specimen Transporation Tube

VTM is suitable for collection and preservation of clinical specimens containing viruses, including SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), Chlamydia spp., Mycoplasma spp. and Ureaplasma spp. The transport medium can be used with swabs and aspirates and is available in a plastic, screw cap tube. The transported microorganism remains viable for 48 hours at room or refrigerated temperature. VTM does not contain guanidium thiocyanate.

Storage at 10-25°C.
Contains antimicrobial agents to minimize bacterial and fungal contamination, without affecting viruses, Chlamydia, Mycoplasma or Ureaplasma.
A pH indicator (phenol red) indicates the medium integrity during the shelf life of the product.
Shelf life: 1 year
The tube stands upright on the laboratory bench thanks to the skirted, flat-bottom, while the conical shape allows an appropriate centrifugation of the sample.

INSTRCUTION FOR USE

1. According to different sampling requirements, use a sampling swab to sample at the corresponding part.

2. Place the swab after collecting the sample in a sterile sampling tube.

3. Put the swab into the preservation solution and break it from the breaking point.

4. Tighten the sterile sampling tube cover.

5. Mark the relevant sample information on the label of the sampling tube.

NOTICE for use

1. Gloves and masks should be worn for personal security when using.

2. Discarded specimen collection liquid should be treated by moist heat sterilization in advance.

3. Do not use the VTM if it is out of date, turns yellow or becomes leaked.

4. The product is disposal and is forbidden to reuse.

5. Do not use the product if the package is broken.

STORAGE

1. The virus sampling kit should be stored in cool dry place at 4℃-25℃;

2. Period of validity: 12 months. Pls refer to the outer box for the manufacture date and expiration date.
