This means that fracturing fluids should have high viscosity because when injected downhole, low viscosity can cause proppant to plug the wellhead and cause significant losses to the field. A certain amount of crosslinking agent can be added to the fracturing fluid of Guar gum to increase the viscosity of fracturing fluid.
