Hydroxypropyl guar gum is a derivative of guar gum obtained by etherification of guar gum with propylene oxide. The modified hydroxypropyl guar gum is very gentle to the skin and hair and can reduce the irritation of the surfactant in the formulated product. It expands and dissolves rapidly over a wide range of PH values, and remains stable even in systems with high salt content.

When applied to personal shampoo products, the conditioning performance is superior, and the combination of silicone oil, can effectively increase the sedimentation of silicone oil on the hair.
