1. Introduction 

    Brown fused alumina is made of bauxite and anthracite as raw materials and smelted in a high-temperature electric arc furnace of more than 2,000 degrees. Brown Fused Alumina is produced by fusion of bauxite in an electric arc furnace at high temperatures. The brownish coloured product shows high hardness as well as extreme toughness.
