Scope of application:

In the machining process, after the surface temperature cools, the machined surface will harden. The hardened surface is hard, which is easy to cause groove wear, that is, the V-notch on the cutting depth line of the cutting edge. Due to the high temperature and high pressure generated in the cutting process, the friction resistance between the chip bottom layer and the rake face is very high, and it is easy to "cold weld" the part material on the rake face of the tool, resulting in chip accumulation tumors. After the chip accumulation tumor is broken, it will be taken away by the chip, scratch the tool surface, and make the coating and matrix material fall off the blade, thus accelerating the loss of the tool. Hardening acts not only on the machined surface, but also on chips. Processing austenite will produce continuous high-strength long chips, which are not easy to break. Long chips will affect the product surface quality and processing safety. Some grades of austenitic stainless steel will add sulfur (s), which can improve the cutting performance.
