Characterised by a simple structure (featuring a zero helix angle design), mature manufacturing processes (capable of being produced via conventional methods such as gear hobbing and gear shaping), and low cost; its advantages include stable transmission ratios (where the contact line of the tooth surfaces remains parallel to the axis during meshing, facilitating consistent transmission accuracy), straightforward installation (eliminating the need to consider helical direction compatibility), strong adaptability (compatible with diverse power sources and actuators), and low maintenance and replacement costs.​
