Material Properties & Characteristics
Nickel alloys feature copper, chromium, and molybdenum as main alloy elements, providing excellent comprehensive performance with resistance to various acid corrosion and stress corrosion. The first application was nickel-copper alloy (Monel alloy), with additional variants including nickel-chromium, nickel-molybdenum, and nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys for manufacturing corrosion-resistant components.

2205 Duplex Stainless Steel Characteristics
Alloy 2205 (UNS S32305/S31803) is a duplex stainless steel composed of 22% chromium, 3% molybdenum and 5-6% nickel-nitrogen alloy. It features high strength, excellent impact toughness, and superior overall and local stress corrosion resistance.

Key Features
Superior to 316L and 317L austenitic stainless steel in pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. Features lower thermal expansion coefficient and higher thermal conductivity. Yield strength is twice that of austenitic stainless steel, enabling weight reduction and cost savings. Optimal performance in -50°F to +600°F temperature range.
