253MA Stainless Steel Seamless Pipe UNS S30815 Seamless Tube
UNS S30815 253MA stainless steel pipe combines excellent service properties at high temperatures with ease of fabrication. This grade resists oxidation at temperatures up to 1150°C and provides superior service to Grade 310 in carbon, nitrogen, and sulphur containing atmospheres.
253MA contains relatively low nickel content, providing advantages in reducing sulphide atmospheres compared to high nickel alloys and Grade 310. The inclusion of high silicon, nitrogen, and cerium contents gives the steel good oxide stability, high elevated temperature strength, and excellent resistance to sigma phase precipitation.
The austenitic structure provides excellent toughness, even at cryogenic temperatures. Another proprietary designation for this grade is 2111HTR.
