Material Characteristics
AISI 431 is a high chromium-low nickel martensitic stainless steel with exceptional hardenability, offering high strength combined with good corrosion resistance. Typically supplied hardened and tempered in the tensile range 850-1000 MPa (Brinell 248-302).
