SMO 254 / UNS S31254 254SMO Hot Rolled Nickel Alloys Round Bar
Alloy 254 SMO is a premium molybdenum and nitrogen alloyed super austenitic stainless steel with low carbon content. It offers exceptional resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, stress cracking, and corrosion fatigue. With strength nearly twice that of 300 series stainless steel, it maintains high ductility and impact strength, making it ideal for demanding industrial applications.

Corrosion Resistance
Excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion due to high chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen content. Very low carbon content minimizes carbide precipitation risk during heating. Superior resistance in chloride-containing environments, making it suitable for prolonged seawater exposure without crevice corrosion.
