321 Stainless Steel Characteristics
Alloy 321 (UNS S32100) is a titanium-stabilized austenitic stainless steel that provides excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion following exposure to temperatures between 800-1500°F (427-816°C). The addition of titanium stabilizes the alloy against chromium carbide formation.

- Excellent oxidation resistance up to 1500°F (816°C)

321H Variant
Alloy 321H (UNS S32109) features higher carbon content (0.04-0.10) for enhanced creep resistance and superior strength at temperatures above 1000°F (537°C). This composition often enables dual certification.
