Material Description
LDX 2101 is a low nickel-alloyed duplex stainless steel with balanced chemistry of chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen content to achieve excellent resistance to localized and uniform corrosion. The duplex microstructure provides high strength and superior resistance to stress corrosion cracking. These steels offer good weldability characteristics. Due to risk of embrittlement, LDX 2101 should not be used at temperatures above 250°C. This alloy maintains very stable pricing while offering high strength performance.
Applications
Primarily used for applications requiring corrosion resistance superior to 304L stainless steel.
