Product Description
Stainless Steel 321 / 321H Sheet & Plate Overview
Grade 321 stainless steel is a titanium-stabilized austenitic stainless steel designed for service in the 1000-1600°F temperature range. This grade offers excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion and polythionic acid stress corrosion cracking when given a stabilizing treatment at 1550-1650°F followed by air cooling.
321 stainless steel is readily weldable by all common methods including submerged arc welding. Recommended weld fillers include AWS ER347 bare wire and E347 covered electrodes. With a machinability rating of 45% relative to AISI B1112, it offers similar machining characteristics to 304 stainless steel.
Available Product Forms
Sheet, plate, coil, strip, wire, pipe, tube, bar, profile, round, flat, square, and hexagonal forms.
