316Ti Stainless Steel Overview
316Ti stainless steel is an austenitic grade containing titanium stabilization (approximately 0.5%) that prevents carbide precipitation at grain boundaries when exposed to temperatures over 800°C. This titanium addition provides enhanced corrosion protection and allows the material to be held at higher temperatures for extended periods without sensitization.
Compared to standard 316 and 316L grades, 316Ti maintains similar physical and mechanical properties while offering improved performance in high-temperature applications and corrosive chloride environments.
