S31254 F44 1.4547 254SMo is a high-performance austenitic stainless steel with exceptional corrosion resistance properties.

Metallurgical Properties
254SMO features a face-centered cubic lattice structure. Optimal austenitic structure is achieved through annealing at 1150-1200°C. The material maintains excellent impact strength and corrosion resistance with minimal risk of carbide precipitation.
Corrosion Performance
This alloy demonstrates superior resistance in chloride, bromide, and iodide environments where conventional stainless steels would suffer pitting, crevice corrosion, or stress corrosion cracking. It performs exceptionally well in sulfuric acid with chloride ions and can be used in diluted hydrochloric acid at normal temperatures.
