About 304 Stainless Steel
Grade 304 is the most commonly used stainless steel, featuring austenitic structure with excellent corrosion resistance, strength, toughness, fabrication characteristics, and weldability. The 304H version provides guaranteed minimum carbon content for superior high-temperature strength performance.

Corrosion Resistance
Grade 304 stainless steel provides excellent corrosion resistance in atmospheric conditions and most environments, except marine conditions or heavy industrial pollution. Suitable for potable water applications up to 200 ppm chloride content. Not recommended for seawater use due to potential crevice corrosion.
