Duplex 2205 stainless steel combines both ferritic and austenitic properties, making it ideal for applications requiring excellent corrosion resistance and high strength. The S31803 grade has been refined into UNS S32205, offering superior corrosion resistance. This grade should not be used at temperatures above 300°C due to brittle precipitation or below -50°C due to ductile-to-brittle transition.
