The composition of this Stainless Steel Grade 317L consists of 18-20% chromium and 11-15% nickel. The rest of the composition comprises iron, molybdenum, sulfur, silicon, and nitrogen. This low-carbon alloy also contains traces of phosphorus and manganese.

grade 317l is an austenitic chromium-nickel-molybdenum grade of stainless steel with excellent corrosion resistance and formability.
