Modified Epoxy Novolac Resins HWR-638 Coatings Epoxy Resin

Epoxy Novolac Resins HWR-638 is a semi-solid phenol novolac based multifunctional epoxy resin. The high viscosity of this resin render it to be used as it is and invariably it is used in solution form or by blending with other lower viscosity epoxy resins. HWR-638 has functionality of ~ 3.6 in its original form. This higher functionality of HWR-638 imparts highly cross linked three dimensional network when cured. This high cross link density offers excellent chemical resistance and mechanical properties such as hardness and abrasion resistance. It can be used alone or can also be blended with other conventional epoxy resins to improve there chemical and thermal resistance characteristics. It exhibits better retention of chemical, mechanical and electrical resistance properties at elevated temperatures.
