How it works: The solenoid valve has a closed chamber with multiple holes that can be opened in different positions and are each connected to a different type of tubing. In the center of the cavity is a piston, and on either side of it are two electromagnets. Depending on which side of the magnet coil is energized, the valve body can be moved to open or close the various oil discharge holes, and since the oil inlet hole is typically left open, hydraulic oil will enter a different type of oil discharge pipe. In this manner, mechanical motion can be managed by adjusting the electromagnet's current.
