General Information of N-Acetyl-D-Glucosamine

It is natural amino monosaccharides (amino oligosaccharin monomers), which only exist in polysaccharide molecules in organisms or in a free state, industrial products are N-acetylglucosamine (chitin monosaccharide) and glucosamine hydrochloride.

N-acetamide Glucose group, as chitosaccharides, has a lower molecular weight(220DA), better water solubility, and stronger biological activity.

Application of N-Acetyl-D-Glucosamine

Under low temperature stress, exogenous application of NAG by root treatment could protect rice seedlings, restore the accumulation of chlorophyll during growth after low temperature stress, and promote their normal growth in low temperature environment.

The possible regulatory mechanism is as follows: first, NAG regulates the osmotic potential of rice seedlings, promotes the accumulation of osmoregulatory substances and the conversion and utilization of nitrate nitrogen;

Secondly, the exogenous application of NAG effectively reduced the MDA content in cold seedlings, increased the activity of SOD and POD antioxidant enzymes, and protected the antioxidant system of seedlings. In addition, NAG significantly promoted the gene table of OsNCED, OsSDR and AAO in the abscisic acid metabolism pathway of cold seedlings
In turn, it promotes the accumulation of endogenous abscisic acid in seedlings, and protects seedlings against cold damage through abscisic acid metabolism.
