Plus Mix

Description

2× Plus Mix is a premixed, ready-to-use solution containing Taq Plus DNA Polymerase, dNTPs, Mg²⁺ and Reaction Buffer at optimal concentrations for efficient amplification of DNA templates by PCR,only need to add primers and template DNA. This premixed formulation saves time and reduces contamination due to the fewer pipetting steps required for PCR set-up. It also contributes to higher sensitivity by adding enhancer.

Taq Plus DNA Polymerase, a combination of two thermostable DNA polymerases, Taq and Pfu, blends the processivity of Taq with the high fidelity of Pfu. Therefore, this specially formulated Taq Plus DNA Polymerase allows amplification of higer fidelity and longer templates than the single-enzyme formulations. It is also a better choice for amplifying complex template, such as GC-rich template. The elongation rate is 3kb/min. It can amplify DNA target up to 20 kb (simple template). PCR products amplified by Taq Plus are mixture of blunt-ends and 3' dA-overhangs.

Composition of the 2× Plus Mix

0.4U/μl Taq DNA Polymerase, 0.04U/μl Pfu DNA Polymerase, 2× PCR Buffer, 0.4mM dNTPs, 4mM MgSO_4, 0.02% bromophenol blue.

Plus Mix buffer is a proprietary formulation optimized for robust performance in PCR.
