50/100 Tests Insulin (INS) for Automatic immunoassay analyzer in DIABETES In Vitro Diagnostic Reagents
CLIA Reagents of DIABETES (INS)
Clinical Significance
Determination of insulin can understand islet function and determine the type of diabetes.
The blood insulin test is mainly suitable for patients who are not using insulin treatment. It can be measured by drawing blood on an empty stomach and 2 hours after a meal. Under normal circumstances, the fasting insulin level should be 10-25mU/dL, and the postprandial level should be 4 higher than the fasting level. -5 times. If insulin levels are significantly reduced, it is called absolute deficiency, which can be seen in type 1 diabetes; if there is no significant reduction, it is called relative deficiency, because there is a malfunction in the link where insulin works, which is common in type 2 diabetes with insulin resistance. Insulin is secreted into the blood in the same molecule as C-peptide.
In patients who are clinically treated with insulin, the presence of insulin antibodies in serum affects the determination of blood insulin levels by radioimmunoassay. In this case, plasma C-peptide levels can be measured to understand the state of endogenous insulin secretion.
