Description
Multi-LNG White Composite STS Hose is specially designed for offshore use in rough conditions, such as Ship to Ship operations where LNG at a temperature of -164°C will be Offloaded. Composite STS Hose can be used in different operations such as Side by Side and Tandem Offloading. These hoses are also suitable as Vapor return line in combination with other transfer systems like loading arms and flexible pipeline systems.
STS hoses are certified by several class societies like DNV-GL, Bureau Veritas (BV) and American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) according to EN 1474-II and EN 12434. These hoses are ready to be used in EN 1474-III certified systems around the World. An extended test program with TNO and Shell and multiple years of operational experience has proven that Multi-LNG White Composite STS Hoses are reliable. Next to that they are also safe to use in all kind of dynamic conditions including Offshore LNG Ship to Ship transfer operations.

Advantages
Hose Assemblies
Due to the often hazardous conveyance used it is recommended that composite hose should only be used with properly fixed fittings. Composite hoses are normally fitted by the wire whipped method or by external crimp. All hoses have a 6 to 1 safety factor.
Testing
All hose assemblies must be pressure tested hydrostatically to one and a half times the maximum recommended working pressure and electrically tested to confirm continuity per:
- AS2683, AS2594, AS1180, AS2117
- BSEN13765:2010, BS5842:1980
- EN13766:2010, EN ISO 8031:2009, EN ISO 1402
Fittings
