1 About Laser Cutting 

When the incident laser beam power density exceeds a certain value. The material starts to evaporate at

the point where the beam hits, forming holes. It will absorb all the incoming beam energy as a black body.

The pores are surrounded by molten material. Then. An auxiliary air stream coaxial with the beam carries

away the molten material around the hole. As the workpiece moves, the hole moves synchronously in the

cutting direction to form a slit. The cutting gas is usually nitrogen.
