Galvanized Steel Sheet Quality
1. Appearance
Galvanized coils have different surface states due to different treatment methods in the coating process; such as ordinary flat spangle, non-spangle and phosphating surfaces.
2. Galvanizing amount
The amount of galvanizing is a common and effective method to express the thickness of the zinc layer of the galvanized sheet. The common unit of galvanizing amount is g/m2. There are two common types of constant thickness galvanizing and differential galvanizing. In short, galvanized coils have different amounts of galvanizing on both sides (the same or different amounts of galvanizing on both sides).
3. Mechanical properties
Tensile strength and flexural strength are common properties of rolled steel sheets. Tensile properties: Generally speaking, only structural, tensile and deep drawing galvanized sheets have tensile properties requirements. Bending: is the main item to measure the process performance of sheet. However, the requirements for various galvanized sheets in national standards are not consistent.
