What is difference between GI Coil and Galvalume Coil?
The main difference between Galvalume and galvanized steel is the protective coating around each steel sheet. Galvanized steel consists of zinc, while Galvalume's coat consist of zinc, aluminum, and silicone.
First, the difference between galvalume coil and galvanized coil
1. First of all, from the degree of their coating, galvanized sheets are mainly zinc plated on the coating. The coating of galvanized sheet is not only zinc, but also has an extra aluminum.
2. The surface of the galvanized sheet is all plated with zinc, which has a good protective effect on the material and is not easy to rust. The galvalume sheet, because part of the surface is changed from zinc to aluminum, is prone to oxidation and rust. Therefore, in comparison, the service life of galvanized sheet is longer than that of galvalume sheet.
