Traditional alignment methods often result in values exceeding acceptable ranges by several times due to coupling processing errors and surface contamination, leading to significant fan vibration.
Proper Alignment Methodology
For optimal performance with high-temperature fans:
  • Temporarily connect both half-couplings using 2-3 bolts
  • Rotate components synchronously
  • Measure radial and axial runout values using 2-3 dial gauges
  • Adjust until measurements fall within required specifications
