Operating Principle
When the impeller rotates under motor drive, gas between the blades follows the rotation. Centrifugal force propels gas outward from blade grooves through the impeller outlet, creating vacuum conditions that draw in external gas for continuous replenishment. This cycle of suction and pressure discharge establishes uninterrupted gas flow for sustained industrial operation.
Induced Draft vs. Blower Function
While both utilize motor-driven impellers to generate airflow, their positioning and function differ significantly. Induced draft fans install at boiler rear ends, creating negative furnace pressure to guide smoke exhaust. Blowers position at boiler fronts, directing air into combustion chambers.
