Stainless steel bar can be divided into hot rolling, forging and cold drawing according to the production process. Hot rolled stainless steel round steel specifications are 5.5-250 mm. Among them: 5.5-25 mm of small stainless steel round steel mostly to straight bundles of supply, commonly used as reinforcement, bolts and various mechanical parts; Round steel of stainless steel larger than 25 mm, used chiefly for making machine parts or for making seamless steel tubes.
Martensitic stainless steels and ferritic steels are both similar in characteristics as they both have remarkable chromium content; however, martensitic steels have higher carbon content comparatively (up to 1%). Due to the increased carbon content, martensitic steels can be hardened and tempered as standard carbon and chrome alloy steels. When compared to standard austenitic stainless steels,martensitic grades are magnetic. Common martensitic grades are 410, 420 and 440C.
