Polyaspartics are materials that are considered to be a subset of polyureas. Specifically, the term is usually used to refer to aliphatic polyureas. Polyaspartic floor coatings are typically two-part systems that consist of a resin and a catalyst to facilitate the curing process. While early polyaspartic coatings possessed several limitations, modern formulations are used as alternatives to epoxy and polyurethane coatings.

Advantages:

The cross linking of the Polyaspartic series film in the cure makes it exceptionally tough and durable, making it four times more abrasion resistant than normal epoxy. As a result, the Polyaspartic clear topcoat is extremely user friendly without having sacrificed the performance of the finished floor coating product. The applications for this product are almost limitless. Polyaspartic is suited for use on high-end residential flooring applications, retail floor settings with high traffic, or food service floor areas where stain resistance and cleanability are paramount.
