1J85 is an iron-nickel soft magnetic alloy with high weak magnetic field permeability.

Permalloy refers to iron-nickel alloy, also known as soft magnetic alloy. The nickel content ranges from 35 to 90 percent. The main characteristic of permalloy alloy is that it has high weak magnetic permeability. Their saturation magnetic induction intensity is generally between 0.6 and 1.0T.

The alloy is smelted by vacuum induction furnace and made into cold-rolled strip, cold-drawn wire or hot-rolled (forged) plate and bar by thermo-cold plastic deformation.

Used for making audio transformers, transformers, magnetic amplifiers, magnetic modulators, chokes, audio magnetic heads, etc.

For example, 1J50, 1J851, etc. Because of its high magnetic conductivity, permalloy is often used in the core of medium-high frequency transformers or in devices with strict requirements on sensitivity, such as high-frequency (tens of KHz) switching power transformers, precision transformers, leakage switch transformers, magnetic shielding, magnetic yoke, etc.
