Q1: What is this product, and what does it do?
A: This is a smart controller module designed to upgrade your existing standard garage door opener. Once installed, it connects your garage door to your home Wi-Fi (or Zigbee network), allowing you to open/close, monitor, and schedule your garage door remotely via smartphone app, or using voice commands with Alexa/Google Assistant.

Q2: Is this a full garage door opener kit, or just an add-on module?
A: This is an add-on smart control module, not a complete opener with motor and rail. It is designed to be wired into your existing garage door opener's control terminals to add smart functionality. Your current opener, remote, and wall button will continue to work as usual.

Q3: How do I know if my current garage door opener is compatible?
A: This module is compatible with most standard garage door openers that have manual control terminals (often labeled S1, S2, L, N, etc.). Please check your opener's manual or look for a terminal block near where the wall button connects. If your opener has these screw terminals, it is likely compatible.

Q4: Do I need a hub for the Zigbee version?
A: Yes. The Zigbee version requires a compatible Zigbee gateway/hub (such as a Tuya Zigbee Gateway) that is connected to your network. The Wi-Fi version connects directly to your 2.4GHz home Wi-Fi network and does not require a separate hub.

Q5: Can I still use my old physical remote and wall button after installing this?
A: Yes, absolutely. The installation is parallel. Your original remotes and wall button will continue to function normally. This smart module simply adds a new way to control the door without interfering with existing controls.

Q6: Is it safe to control my garage door remotely? What about security?
A: Security is a priority. The module works through the Tuya/Smart Life app ecosystem, which employs encryption for communication. Additionally, features like real-time operation history logs allow you to monitor all activity. For extra security, you can use the scheduling feature to lock out remote access during certain hours (e.g., overnight).

Q7: Can I share access with my family members?
A: Yes. The accompanying app (Tuya/Smart Life) has a "Share Device" function. You can easily invite other family members by their phone number or app account, granting them full or limited control permissions without sharing your main account password.

Q8: What is included in the package?
A: The package includes: 1 x Smart Control Module (main unit), 1 set of wiring connectors/terminals, and the necessary screws and installation guide. A power adapter is NOT included as it draws power directly from your opener's terminals. A Zigbee Gateway is also NOT included for the Zigbee version.

Q9: Do you offer OEM/ODM services for large projects?
A: Yes, we do. We can provide OEM/ODM services for bulk orders, such as for property developers, hotel chains with private garages, or distributors. Customizations can include branding, packaging, and firmware adjustments. Please contact our sales team for a quote.
