The ASM2824 is a low latency, low cost, and low power 24-lane packet switch supporting up to 12 downstream ports. With upstream PCIe Gen3x8 bandwidth, the ASM2824 enables users to build various high-speed IO systems, including servers, system storage, and communication platforms.

- Downstream PCIe Interface: 16-lane PCIe® 3.1 interface supporting up to 12 PCIe® ports
- Power Management: Support for L0s/L1/L23/L3 power saving states and L1 substate deep power saving mode
- Wake-up Function: Support for wake-up in S3/S4 states
- Port Control: Individual port disable capability
- Advanced Features: Support for LTR, AER, and SRIS on both upstream and downstream ports
- Max Payload Size: 512Byte
- Hot-plug Support: Support for hot-plug and surprise remove functionality
