The SN65HVD1785DR is a 70V fault-protected RS-485 transceiver designed to withstand overvoltage faults including direct shorts to power supplies, mis-wiring faults, connector failures, cable crushes, and tool misapplications. This device offers robust ESD protection with high levels of human-body model specification protection.
The SN65HVD1785DR integrates a differential driver and differential receiver operating from a single power supply. The driver differential outputs and receiver differential inputs are internally connected to form a bus port suitable for half-duplex (two-wire bus) communication.
