IMX637-AAMR-C Event-Based Vision Sensor IC with Diagonal 3.9 mm, 0.32 M Effective Pixels, and High-Speed Low-Latency Output
The IMX637-AAMR-C is a diagonal 3.9 mm (Type 1/4.5) event-based vision sensor with approximately 0.32 M effective pixels (640 (H) × 512 (V)). This advanced sensor detects brightness changes that exceed set thresholds independently for each pixel and asynchronously outputs coordinates (X, Y) of detected pixels, detection timestamps, and brightness change polarity information in the order detected.
This technology enables high-speed, low-latency output (100 µs or less at 1000 lx). By outputting only brightness changes, the sensor can swiftly capture moving subjects while ignoring areas without brightness changes, resulting in highly efficient data extraction. The sensor features pixel characteristics where output voltage is logarithmically proportional to input light intensity, enabling event output with high dynamic range. The chip operates with triple power supply: analog 3.0 V, digital 1.1 V, and 1.8 V.
